Tech Stack: Flutter and Firebase
Visit Temajuk is a web application developed as part of the Innovilage Project, aimed at promoting the Temajuk area as a travel destination. The project was created using Flutter for the frontend and Firebase for data management. Firebase serves as the backend to store essential data, including images, text descriptions, and user authentication information. The app features an engaging and user-friendly interface that highlights the beauty and attractions of Temajuk, making it easier for users to explore and plan their visits. And also shoutout to Mrs. Gia and Mr. Indra as our guide throughout this project
The main challenge was to create a comprehensive and visually appealing website that effectively showcases the Temajuk area to potential visitors. Initially, our team was not selected to participate in the Innovilage Project, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we were given the opportunity to develop the website. We faced the task of designing a site that is not only informative but also user-friendly, while managing data storage and user authentication through Firebase. Additionally, the need for multilingual support led us to manually translate content instead of using automated translation services, ensuring a more accurate and contextually appropriate representation of information and is free, unless we count the human labour.
The development of Visit Temajuk was a collaborative effort between I Nyoman Manutama Surya Jagadhita, Bryan Dhaniel, Romario Viegaz Fransisco Marcal, and myself. We chose Flutter as the tech stack due to our varying levels of experience with React, allowing us to leverage Romario's confidence in Flutter to build the application. The app integrates Firebase for data storage and user authentication, ensuring that content is easily managed and accessible. Instead of relying on the Google Translate API, we opted for a manual translation process to enhance accuracy and contextual relevance. The project involved careful planning and design to create a seamless user experience, ultimately resulting in an effective platform to promote Temajuk as a travel destination.
